Dions Management And Record Label Criticize The Gop Presidential Nominee

Celine Dion's Team Slams Trump for Unauthorized Song Use

Dion's management and record label criticize the GOP presidential nominee

Harris Trump campaign requested permission for support in the West

Celine Dion's management team has criticized former US President Donald Trump for the unauthorized use of a clip of one of her songs at a campaign rally. This time, Trump's campaign has been called out by Dion's management and record label for using her Titanic movie theme song, "My Heart Will Go On," at a rally in West Virginia without permission.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dion's team sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump campaign, demanding that they stop using the song immediately. The letter states that the campaign's use of the song is "unauthorized and illegal," and that it violates Dion's copyright. The letter also alleges that the Trump campaign's use of the song is "harmful to Dion's reputation and goodwill."

This is not the first time that the Trump campaign has been accused of using music without permission. In 2016, the campaign was sued by the estate of the late Prince for using his song "Purple Rain" at a rally without permission. The campaign eventually settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.

It remains to be seen whether the Trump campaign will comply with Dion's team's demand to stop using "My Heart Will Go On." However, the incident is a reminder that artists have the right to control how their music is used, and that unauthorized use of music can have legal consequences.
