Poland's Winless Streak Against Netherlands Continues
Poland 0-0 Netherlands
Poland's winless streak against Netherlands extended to 12 games in all competitions on Wednesday after a 0-0 draw in their Euro 2024 Group D opener.
The match was a cagey affair, with neither side able to create many clear-cut chances. Poland's best opportunity came in the first half when Robert Lewandowski headed wide from close range. Netherlands had a couple of half-chances in the second half, but they were unable to find a way past Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The result leaves Poland winless in their last 12 meetings with Netherlands in all competitions. Their last victory over the Dutch came in a 2-0 home win in EURO 1980.
Poland will now face Wales in their next Group D match on Saturday, while Netherlands will take on Belgium.
